After Dark: The Story Behind Midnight Edition

There's a different kind of energy after the sun goes down. The beach gets quieter. The crowds thin out. Waves disappear into the darkness, but somehow you hear them more clearly.

A fire gets going, someone puts on music, and there's nowhere else you need to be.

That feeling is where Midnight Edition began.

A Different Side of the Coast

FLOWAV has always lived somewhere between the ocean and the music. Sometimes that means bright days, open water and music turned up with the windows down. Midnight Edition explores the other side of it—the hours after sunset when everything slows down.

Dark water. Cool air. A fire burning near the shore. Music carrying through the night.

It's still coastal. Just after dark.

Designed to Feel Like Midnight

We wanted Midnight Edition to reflect that atmosphere without overcomplicating it.

Deep blacks, charcoal tones and understated details give Midnight Edition a quieter look than our original FLOWAV pieces. Instead of standing out from across the beach, these pieces are meant to feel subtle, tonal and easy to wear.

The Midnight hats take the original FLOWAV wave into darker territory, pairing familiar silhouettes with dark embroidery for a nearly tonal finish.

The Midnight tee carries that same idea into a nighttime coastal scene—moonlight, waves and the stillness of the ocean after dark.

And the Midnight Edition sticker brings the entire release together in deep blue tones inspired by the water and sky at night.

Different pieces. Same frequency.

The Sound of Night

Of course, Midnight Edition couldn't just have a look. So we built 🌙FLOWAV Sessions //002 - Midnight, a playlist inspired by those nights when the fire is still going, the conversation has slowed down and nobody is quite ready to call it.

Songs for sitting around the fire.

Songs for staring out at dark water.

Songs for the drive home with sand still somewhere in the car.

Because for us, the music has always been just as important as the waves.
